i went church today feeling more tired than when it was during exams... aloysius provided me with the reason why: during the exam period, you get tired from studying so u go sleep early(11pm); after exams you go online till 2am then you sleep till 8am and wake up go church... i agreed totally... lol...

anyway... the message today was taken from James 3:2. It was about how we often think too highly of ourselves and go about condemning others... yes, this scripture has been mentioned countless times in church... but i found it especially meaningful today because it reminds me to keep check of my tongue (remembering how we have to be accountable for every mistake that comes from our mouths)... It brought me to think: why are we so bitter towards the people we are closer than those whom we are not that close???

As i ponder, i realise it affects me too... Towards my god-brothers and sisters, i criticise them as if there is totally nothing good about them... more recently, i outrightly told someone that there is no chance when that person said "maybe" to my other friends when i am not around... Am i being too harsh towards the people i am close to? I really think so... ashamedly yes, it's true... but why???

i really have no idea why i behave like that... but i do know that i really have to be nicer to my dearest god brothers and sisters... but in today's environment, will being nice distant myself from them instead? because i am so used to "suan-ing" them already, can i change??? easily???

another point that was brought up was about our words... with particular reference to blogging... Wee Shu Min as a case in point, did not keep her tongue in check when she published such offensive words out on her blog. Ok, when we think deeply, it is the retarded media who played up everything... imagine Wee Shu Min was the daughter of Tan Ah Khow, or some not-so-popular person, would the media have paid the slightest interest? But then again, it was a good lesson for all of us bloggers, to keep our tongue (or fingers) in check all the time... because once we post, it cannot be taken back... GMail's privacy policy states that even though you may delete your messages, they still keep them in their servers for some time and they do not guarantee the eventual deletion on those messages... an encouraging phrase can light up one's life, a dampening blanket can put out one's flame as easily...

a good learning point indeed... i hope i'll be able to carry it out... hope...
