Went back to school to study today... with Rosel (and Emily for 1 hour?)... thanks to Rosel and Trey i got Macdonalds breakfast...
Didn't do much today, just read and did 2.5 Chemistry Prelim MCQs... the other 0.5 is that i didn't complete the 3rd paper... lol... the rest of the time i was reading, napping, eating, and talking...
I particularly liked the "talking" part today, because Rosel was doing her KI (Independent Study rather), and well i had the chance to see what she is doing... Law, Trust, Fate... We discussed about trust in the canteen, while i was having lunch... and fate, in the library...
What is fate? Does it exist? Is fate simply the religious side of the common scientific term called probability? If so, does fate follow any distribution? Binomial, Poisson, Normal and Rectangular distribution (thanks to Maths 9233)??? well, are there any patterns to fate? how did you and i come about? mathematical probability or fate, or both? how did this particular carbon atom and two other oxygen atoms get together to form carbon dioxide? why not carbon bonded to helium?
As we realised, fate is a huge topic... covering all the way from the probability of the formation of a molecule to the formation to the universe to the chances of me knowing you, to the chances of you reading this WORD right now... but really, is it fate? or can it be something else? something like a divine plan? something as systematic as a music piece of an orchestra?
i don't think that there are answers to such questions; even if there are, it would not be assessable to us... but it is quite interesting to consider such questions... how would friendship develop if not for the presence of fate (or probability)... would we be born with a list of friends that we will meet in due time? but even so, it is still fate that lets one meet another... the list is just fortune telling... how would i be born if fate did not exist between my dad and my mum? would i, benji, be another manufactured product from a factory in China? but then again, ain't it fate that decides whether the factory would be built? and that the factory be built in China? hmmz...
that's why i love talking to rosel, and that's why i say she's smart... she sets me thinking this way... even though such a seemingly small discussion we had just now can grow exponentially to make me think about it from the school, on board 966, and all the way back home... hmmz...
