"Therefore, we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." - 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
that is the message the speaker had for us today at our combined fellowship between the Orchard Road branch and Bukit Batok Branch of Providence Presbyterian Church... personally, i feel that although the sermon was short, it was packed full of insights and lessons to be learnt... i can even say that i have gained much more than some of the hour-long sermons that pastors in my church give... in that 10-15 minute speech, he taught us to renew ourselves... to abandon the old, corrupted, dirty soul of ours and to present ourselves in new light this new year... it's something we all know that we have to do... but sometimes we just need that someone to remind us to do such nitty witty stuff...
then after that we went for a few games of pool... and i realised how terrible i am at managing those balls now... gRRR... and i realised that i am actually BORED of pool... really... argh... and before returning home, i actually bought subway for supper!!! and not 6 inch, but footlong!!! wahahaha!!! i'm getting fat fat fat!!! oh shit...
