it's finally good friday!!!

to all christians and pre-christians (this phrase was coined by my Boys' Brigade Officer, Jimmy Cheng who said that everyone would be christians when they finally meet the Lord in heaven... sooner or later...),

may this day be a day when we remember that all of our sins have been taken away by our Lord... and may we also remember, from today onwards, not to add on to the burden that our Lord already carries... yes, we all know that he'll forgive us and wash away our sins, etc, but look at him and see his pain... remember that every sin you make, very vulgarity that comes out from your mouth, every evil deed and thought, is adding on pain to our Lord who was hung on that cross 2000 years ago... it's just like adding weights to him, and making his flesh tear more and more, even though he is hung on the cross and suffering already... so dearest brothers and sisters, do remember this day, just as i try my very best to, and may today be a brand new start for all of us... to stop scolding and cursing that "useless" brother or sister of ours, to stop looking at others as if they would extend out a knife and poke it at your throat at any time, and to really start loving and caring for one another just as our Lord had told us repeatedly... let me quote from the bible:

You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbour and hate your enemy.' But i tell you, Love your enemies and pray for those who prosecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes the sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward would you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
(Matthew 5:43-48)

it's hard, but dearest brothers and sisters, let us just TRY... give it a shot and make this world a better place...
