was chatting online and the topic of free will pops out again...

it reminds me of the days of junior college when fahy talks about his ultra philosophical notion about free will...

but do we really have it?

fashion, yes, we all have the free will to "express our individuality"... but isn't "expressing individuality" itself a conformity? everyone tries to be different, such that at the end of the day, people who dress casually becomes "special"... and on the flip side of the coin, how much individuality can one express??? imagine a 40-year-old man going into his office at Shenton Way in a pair of sneakers with Levi 501 Jeans and a cheap Giordano v neck polo tee... it is "expressing individuality"... but does our society allow it? i really doubt so... try going to a wedding in bermudas or a singlet... obviously there is a limit on how much we are allowed to express our individuality... but the question is what is this limit? who sets it? and who has the authority to set it? i guess that would be a question that i'll answer in a tertiary educational institution such as the university, where fashion becomes an integral part of campus life...

hmmmz... really random...

i'm not missing you... i'm not thinking about you... i'm dreaming...
