day two of three of Festival Of Praise...

and i really wanted to step out of indoor stadium as soon as that Rev. Patrick Lau came up on stage and started to "pray for our nation"... he's freakingly praying in tongues in front of so many people!!! ok, ain't his job "to lead us in a time of prayer for our country"??? and speaking in a language that we all don't understand is called leading??? goodness!!! a bangla can lead better la!!! or better still, pay an African Kid the same amount of money as the organisers will probably pay him, and get him to come on stage and say whatever he wants in whatever language he pleases... he'll be the richest man in his village after a speech.. do a good deed, give a hundred African children lunch for that speech... and on top of that, i have reasons to believe that many people are believing that such things are good... City Harvest's Rev. Kong Hee actually invited him up on stage again [while interrupting the good old Don Moen] to pray / blabber ... [and which totally spoilt the whole mood la!]...

and guess what they're praying for??? fortune, finance, peace, power... ohmygosh, might as well pray for Taliban, pray that the US will have more nukes so that they can carpet bomb Afganistan and every suspected Arabian country to get rid of all the terrorists there... seriously, Christianity is getting more and more quantity... but where did the quality go to???

we are really nearing the end days... where false prophets and false teachings arise not only to bring the new believers to them, but also those who have been close to the true God... as Christians, we really have to be aware of what's going on around us, and read the bible wholly; and not like some who take a quarter of a verse here, and another half there... read from the start to the end, and not to slice up God's words... for whoever who adds on, or takes his words away from his book; so our Lord will also take his grace and mercies away from him...

it's really a very very very sad thing that this is happening to our churches in singapore... 123 churches participating in Festival Of Praise; 123 churches strayed away to a completely different doctrine... ok la.. i'm sure not all of them are preaching the same thing... but one thing for sure, Singapore's largest church is led by someone whose belief system i totally disbelieve...
