this holiday, i'm into movies... partly because some of my friends are overseas, and others, are just busy... well, "National Treasure: Book of Secrets" was terrible and more like a book of clichéd boredom... everything that happened next can be imagined way before and i as a viewer felt as if i was the director and that i knew how each actor would come into the scene right at every scene... plus there are so few "adventures", that i really doubt that they found treasure; it was much more like they found a village's history museum or something... but "I Am Legend" was great... it was very much like a roller coaster ride, with a good balance of thrills and suspense and yet thankfully insufficient to make me want to block off a side of my ear to make the sounds dimensionless.. and i must say that knowing they they filmed it right of Manhattan makes it quite unbelievable... and of course there are the older films like "Die Hard 4", which rocked big time because it was a full 2-hour of quality suspense on a topic that i'm rather familiar/interested in - computers and hacking... and also "The Gymnast", which is a really lesbian-ish movie with plenty of lesbian scenes but which portrayed a much more enlightening tale of a fallen gymnast standing up and rising up from a terrible accident... then there is "Stardust", which makes me want to bring a girl with me to a large hall and project it on the big screen so that it's just the both of us, and Stardust... and "28 days later", "Rush Hour 3", and also "Death Sentence"... All of which i recommend to watch, minus "National Treasure" which will be a total waste of money, unless you absolutely need it in order to converse fluently with other people...
well, that's about all the heavyweight-class movies that i've watched since coming home from chalet on 23rd december... i've also watched other classics like Mr. Bean, Jay Chou's Secret, Resident Evil 3, War of the Worlds, Polar Express (just to relive the Christmas spirit), Super Size Me (in my very much fruitless attempt to convince myself to loose weight this festive season)... and a christian video made on the book of revelations, about the end of times...
