TGIF, Thank God It's Friday!!!
Friday took on a new meaning for all of us... for the past week, we have been discussing with all the COs from the various transport hubs, about the importance of Good Friday to christians; and with that, whether christian drivers need to be spared from this holiday or not... Mdm Jenny and I concluded that Good Friday is actually the basis of our Christian faith... without Good Friday, there would be little point in Christianity... but Thank God that Friday wasn't missed out... and many drivers would be thanking God too, because, as far as it is possible, drivers get to book out for Good Friday...
very sadly, this Good Friday came like the wind for me... very honestly i was telling God back in 2007 that i would be fasting for one month leading up to Good Friday, and i conveniently forgot all about it... till the week itself!!! when someone told me that friday was a public holiday, and i asked why... and "ohmygoodness!!!"... Thank God for Jing Da, he swapped my Good Friday guard duty for his thursday Guard Duty.. so that i can book out and go to church on Good Friday... Thank God for friends like him... sadly he isn't a Christian, but i wish that he would be, one day...
i met up with jesse, weiting, xingloong and eric today... for a nice game of BattleField 2142, and followed by games at Mind's Cafe at Bugis... after so long, it's still very nice to hang out with this group of great people... sadly xingloong had to leave early, and jesse had to go back home before 6pm because he might be activated for the search for MSK tonight... and while going back to church, i looped by Bugis TCC, and i saw her again... but this time i didn't stop... then, i knew it was over...
i had dinner at Plaza Singapura Burger King's... and i ordered a Whooper meal.. but when i opened up the wrapper, i was pleasantly surprised to find a double whooper instead of a normal whooper burger...
then i went to Guardian to buy calcium tablets for my mum, and there was 15% discount for them... plus i got free toothpaste from the saleslady at the shop...
call it counting my blessings, but i am beyond doubt one of the most blessed people this Easter... Thank you God...
