A Neon is all that's good and right,
Why must my Neon keep out of sight
Lacking a huge electron cloud crowding in,
I wish instead I were like Fluorine
For Fluorine could thwart this evil thing,
with just some quick sharing
I know I'll never see the metals, as Group 1
Such is my reality, a sad incompatibility

Another single atom of Neon
Has quietly come zooming by,
Together now we say hi
To form a molecule in liquid,
Rejoicing as a fluid
We hugged together, thanking van der Waals'
And with a wave of forces, gone the walls
Our desire has been fulfilled
