had a very simple dinner with weiyu, quan you, yanyi, and her friend charlene.. it was at just noodles at suntec; and i never knew dinner at suntec could be so economical.. i ordered fried salmon meal and it costs only $7.90.. and the rest ordered tori katsu, and that costed $5.90..

but more importantly we met up.. i'm not too sure, but i think the last time i actually met up with yanyi was back in CJ?? or maybe we met up somewhere else after that, but whatever it is, it's been at least 6months, if not one year, or more.. at least i met up with quan you about 2 weeks ago, and weiyu less than a month ago.. but yanyi's since forever manz.. and she's still wearing the CJC PE attire when she met us.. lol.. she hasn't changed much, if at all..

one thing that i'm really happy to realise yesterday, is that my close friends are still together with their gfs and bfs, just like back in CJC.. yan's still with qiu, and qy's still with sher.. it's really great; especially in contrast to the rest of the class which saw the disintegration of bf and gf relationships once the A levels is over..

i'm listening to mariah carey's BYE BYE, and i was reminded of my grandmother.. whenever i go back to indonesia (which was very often when she was still around), we would go out together.. even for the most basic and mundane things like shopping for groceries in the wet market, and buying breakfast for the entire family of nearly 20 people, it was still very nice.. she was the one who taught me teochew within a week when we went to beijing for holiday when i was 5 years old.. and she never scolded me once, even though i did really bad things like throwing stones from the rooftop and hence choking up the river outside their house with stones, which resulted in my grandfather having to manually remove them afterwards.. those were the playful childhood days.. they both passed away about 5 years ago.. i still remember them very vividly..

that song could have been applied to girlfriends too.. and i try not to think of it that way..
