i just realised that weng hong is ben liew's "classmate" today after looking through ben liew's friendster photos.. weng hong and i lived in the same housing estate, and almost literally grew up together.. we were in the same class from nursery all the way till K2, and went to the same school although we ended up in different classes.. after primary school, we talked less.. we went back once to find ms jenevy chew (aka pikachu), but after that we kinda lost contact.. i would see him playing soccer at the house void deck once in a while, but commications were often limited to simple greetings.. it's nice to know that it's such a small world.. but sad to know that he's changed (like everyone else).. i don't know whether it's for the better or for the worse.. but according to ben, he's like an uncle.. drinking 4 cups of coffee a day, whole day sitting around reading newspaper and talking about PAP and politics.. and he's 20.. but it's really nice to know about him after so long..

got half day off today, so i can move my field pack home.. i've been keeping it in camp just in case of any emergency mobilisation, but since i'm gonna ORD, i have good faith to believe that nothing will happen.. kumar fetched me to queensway, where i bumped into ben liew's mum!! yes, it's the same ben liew that i mentioned above.. very very coincidental.. and we talked about ben, and his plans to go to japan for half a year.. i'm gonna miss him, just like how i missed qinghui already.. these are the people who grew up with me in church from young, and seeing them go one by one, it's really very very saddening.. weijie would be enlisting on oct 24, and so after that he'll be more and more busy.. so by then it'll just be me, aloysius and jackie.. a very sad fact indeed..
