today's an adventure..

went to camp in the morning for run, but it was cancelled because of rain.. so i stayed around in office settling some stuff.. pretty busy for a friday, because there were lots of calls to be made..

went to NUS for Rosel's psychology survey thing.. and i took the death blow from the never ending fleet of stairs in NUS.. to put it in exact terms as i smsed rosel, i lost count of the number of flights of stairs while trying to find my way to an air conditioned place.. indeed.. i was heading towards the central library because it's the logical place to have aircon.. it does have aircon, but i can't go in cos it's only for NUS students.. so i went downstairs to the forum bookshop to get some air con.. and when i came out, i saw xuan ting.. don't ask me, i'm as shocked to see her as she was in seeing me.. she started out asking a thousand questions.. but ohwell, i found out that she's in FASS too, together with liyun and sze ming and audrey.. all hell broke loose when she heard that i'm in NUS to do some survey for rosel.. but i shall not go into details..

the survey thing is weird.. because out of the people in the room, all are either female-female close friends, or boyfriend-girlfriends.. and so we were the only pair that is male-female that is not attached.. but i did notice that the female-female pairs talked a lot, while the boyfriend-girlfriend pairs kept quiet.. one of them even sat far apart when everyone tried to stay as close to their partners by sitting along the asle.. hmm.. but it's all worthed it, because simply by doing a survey rosel can get 4 out of 12 points for the module.. it's really quite worthed it..

then i headed over to clarke quay.. and arrived at 5?? and that's when sze en smsed me saying that the meeting will be delayed till 8pm.. so i went to funan to look around.. and found a shop and bargained for my laser printer toner from $130 to $110.. and since she's so nice, and she's a christian, i stayed there and talked to her for about half an hour (partly cos i have nothing to do too).. and most amusingly we talked about a lot of things, ranging from her two daughters in NUS Business and Singapore Poly to her shop at funan, to trying to find me a job somewhere.. the thing that i picked up from this, is that everyone is generally willing to talk, if we start first.. all i did was that i saw a christian document pasted on her wall and asked if she was a christian.. then we started talking as if we knew each other for years.. a very nice and rewarding experience indeed.. and rosel, please don't say that i love talking to strangers..

and by then it's 6pm.. so i walked over to church to join the fellowship people for a meeting regarding the church's christmas celebration.. i wasn't supposed to be there, but i decided to crash it cos it's just too boring trying to wait.. might as well go there and contribute and make time pass faster.. and oh, guess what, i met ben liew's mum again!! can see that she's very very shocked that i keep getting offs, and this time we did not talk about ben, but about my fellowship and my most blessed army life..

after the christmas celebration discussion, we went for friday's prayer meeting in church.. actually we did not plan to go there, but today it's led by new heart music ministry, so we decided to go.. and indeed, it was really quite a good session with God and singing the songs and praying really refreshes the mind..

then we had supper at cathay's ya kun..

today's a really fun-filled day.. from my camp to NUS to clarke quay to funan to church to park mall to church to cathay.. wow.. really a day well spent..
