let me share a really small secret.. i've been jogging since tuesday..

it's no big deal to some, but for me it's such a big deal that i didn't dare to tell anyone till me own doubts are sufficiently cleared.. in fact, it's the first time (outside National Service during BMT) that i ran at night.. nights have always been reserved for videos, movies, and online chats, and (for a moment) little nyonya.. plus i had the thought that if i ran at night, my physical fatigue would cause a positive interference (or otherwise a reinforcement) to the mental fatigue that gathered through the day..

now that little nyonya's out of the way, and my weight issue is getting out of hand; i decided to run..

and i'm met with great difficulties too.. for anyone who has stopped running for some time, the first run would always come with that irritating itchiness all over your legs.. and the more you scratch, the itchier it gets.. so i usually stop at this stage and admit defeat.. this was what happened on tuesday..

but i tried again on wednesday, and it got me a little further.. the itch gave way to genuine muscle fatigue.. it happened so fast that when i was soooo tired, i looked back and can still see the underpass which i took to cross over from my house to the park.. it was barely 1km!! and it might even be an overestimation due to the night..

today i made it quite far (i think).. i managed to reach Ski360.. ok, not very far (i used to be able run to bedok jetty and back - but that was during the peak of my fitness - when i was skinnier than my mum and had a weight circumference of 28 inches).. i did walk a bit on the way back, but nonetheless, reaching Ski360 on foot was quite a miracle for me already..

tomorrow's church so i probably can't jog.. but i hope to be able to do it on sat & sun & every day from now on..

i haven't actually lost weight though.. cos i had a beef murtabak & 3 plain pratas & a choco-cone ice cream for supper right after running yesterday (i wanted to reward myself - just a little, but it got overboard).. but i think i got a little healthier.. i guess..
