RE NEW YEARN camp is over!!!
I'm just so thankful to our great God because he's a miracle God time and again. For the very first time in my life a camp felt better than planned. For the very first time, we didn't expect so much, but it turned out better.
Miracle one was that this was a rainy season and we had a camp during this period. NEA website confirmed morning and afternoon showers when we checked it the day before the camp. But throughout the camp, there was no rain; but only a slight drizzle during the free & easy period on the second day. There was dark clouds, and reddish skies that signaled imminent rain. But we prayed over it, over and over again. And the clouds just passed us by.
Miracle two was that our campsite was incredibly near Changi Airport so the noise from passing planes was quite a nuisance. But thankfully during our outdoor worship session, there was little interference by the planes. In fact, during the critical video playing period of about 20 minutes, only one small plane flew by!! We were all thankful we brought the whole sound system from church to the camp.
Then of course, there are many others, but i just wanted to write a little about the amazing grace of our Lord. Words cannot express my happiness in the never-failing love of God. Glory be to the Lord most high!!!
Indeed, 2008 has been a great year for me! I completed National Service, I started my first job in my life, I learnt a lot from the people around me; most importantly, i learnt how to love others just like God loved us. This is one lesson that took me 20 years to learn, and i've just started on lesson one.
For 2009, may i continue to manifest what i've learnt in 2008; and my goal would be to be a blessing to others as much as i have been blessed! This is what Jesus asks us to do, and so i should set my target to be aligned to his.
