church today was great.. there was this band from breakthrough mission playing a wonderful piece of music and a great vocal - and to think that they are all ex-drug-addicts.. the vocal came up to share about his experience and how christ has saved him from all the drugs, and it was really touching to know that someone has conquered such a difficult task.. so if drugs can be overcame with the help of jesus, what else can't be done??

i had a copy of the recording of this morning's session and so i was watching it over again, and the second time seems no less dramatic than the first one.. even as a christian, i felt like his speech can make me overcome everything in this life!!

oh and sze ern gave me a birthday present today!! ohmygosh, because not only was it unexpected (because we don't practice giving presents on birthdays), but it was a Hugo Boss Perfume (it says vapouriser, but i guess it's the same thing).. and it's memories because i was never actually close to her.. in fact we can almost be considered as we grew up together in the church, but i seldom talked to her (different cliques).. and we belonged to the same tuanqi but still we seldom talked anything other than matters pertaining to the tuanqi.. and it's only recently that we've been talking a little bit more (her occasional extremely lengthy calls that made me wonder whether her mobile phone plan comes with unlimited outgoing calls, and sms chats while she's watching a movie).. but the point is that she was a sister whom i've grew up with and we didn't even talk much.. it has been a waste for the past 21 years, but i'm glad i'm starting to know her better..

and they got me a mocha tiramisu cake in tuanqi today!! yes i'm doubly shocked today.. and i had to do ruth's challenge of blowing out the candles one-by-one.. but i managed to do it (lol), and had great fun too..

which reminds me to be really grateful for everything and everyone around me.. from those who smsed me their birthday wishes for me, like zinc (sze yin), peijun, alyson, sherlyn to those whom i actually managed to spend quality time together with, like rosel, minjia, trey, weiyu, yanyi, quanyou, jesse, eric, aloysius, weijie, qinghui, jackie.. and even trey's girlfriend junie, who went out with rosel and trey to get my present (and in the process getting wet in the rain).. gosh, all of you seemed to take more interest in MY 21st birthday more than i do.. but i do thank God for all of my friends because i know that without them, life would be so much more different, so much more boring.. God bless all of you as much as you have blessed me!!
