today is really really really very different... day one of OFF from army life is just soooo cool... first thing i saw when i left my house at 9am to take the bus to Simei is kids at Tao Nan School playing basketball... and i was like "ohmygosh!!! there's actually kids in Tao Nan!!!" it's just feel soooooo nice to be outside camp, and waking up late, and walking around doing stuff totally unrelated to the army... haha...
and then i met Stanley and then Abdul Hafiz and then we went to Stanley's condo... and it's FREAKINGLY COOL!!! it's call Savannah, and it's at Simei Rise... and it looks no different from a zoo... there's plenty of giraffe, turtles, leopards, and all sorts of animals... and most of all, a lot a lot a lot of water... almost every direction you look, you see water... and it's super well maintained!!! it just makes me want to stay there la...
while waiting for the rest at Stanley's house, we went through his wedding photos and i can only say that it's perfectly done... and to think that his entire wedding package only costs $2388.. and well, if $2388 can fetch such a good stuff, i'll get a $5388 package for my wedding manz... and make it look doubly perfect, although i felt that his is already very nice... i think the graphic designer is very professional... after some time we realised that he has very little photos taken, but the designer makes all of them different such that we don't realise it at all... aiya, it's just very very well done...
and then we went bowling at the Savannah's private bowling alley... and yes, it has a bowling alley... and it's free... so we just enjoyed ourselves there while waiting for the rest to come... and after that, we went back to Stanley's unit to watch his wedding video... and it was more perfect than perfect... lol.. doesn't make sense, but it just is... my extra rich and powerful cousin, who has PM Lee's wife to attend her wedding, didn't have a wedding video half as nice... i just don't know how to describe... and Stanley's one probably costs a tenth of what my cousin paid for hers... and yet it's nicer...
after that, we went for a swim... not actually swimming, but playing with water and playing with the slides at the condo... and i really can't imagine me this 19 year old guy playing with slides... but it's fun... plus the pool has just one other resident in there, so we literally had the whole pool to ourselves... plus there's jacuzzi... two types of it... one sitting, and one lying down... i'm like "OHMYGOSH!!! can i come here everyday???"... wahahaha... the place is just soooooo cool and nice...
then we went back up to his house, bathed and changed and went for dinner before sending Stanley off to the airport... and from there, i followed Hafiz back home to pick his brother from school and to send the car to CGH and then taking MRT to Dhoby Ghaut and running all the way to Cathay PictureHouse... because we were late already... but in the end, we reached there exactly on the dot... wahahaha... there, we watched... the Simpsons... yepx... not wrong, it's the Simpsons... for me, it was the first time i watched the Simpsons... call it deprived childhood or what, but i've never ever watched the cartoon before and here i am watching the movie... lolx... but it's fun... with all the little jokes here and there and make you swear out "WHAT THE HECK!!!" it's just nice... maybe from now on i'll actually watch that cartoon.. lolx...
and after that, the three of us [Hafiz, JingDa and I] went to eat beancurd at the nearby Selegie Road... where we decided to go to lao pa sat for dinner/supper... by then it was already like 10pm... and we ordered ALOT... so eventually all of us were super bloated.. and i was feeling guilty again... for eating soooooo much again... i'm getting very very very fat... wahahaha...
and that'll be day one of my OFF... from 8+am all the way till 11+pm... out with army friends with a totally non-army objective.. very very very cool, very very very fun... this is the life manz... haha... but i won't want it everyday... i'll get fat real fast that way... lolx...
anyway, there's this nice "edit" of spiderman's theme song... and the simpsons changed it to spider pig... click
here to listen... and it'll make you say out "WHAT THE HECK!!!"... hahaha...
