time really flies when you're enjoying yourself.. it's a much used cliche, but then again, the reason behind it is that it's true.. so cliche or not, i'm sticking with it..

the point being that my 12-day long "term" break (if we count the weekend from the week before) from national service is coming to the end.. today marks the start of the week that i return to work.. this thursday to be exact.. and i'm so totally dreading it!! but truth be told, i don't know why too.. logic tells me that i should be celebrating because i'm coming to the end of NS already.. half of me is telling me to do what everybody else does and to disappear without a word and leave the organisation to clear up the debris, but something within me tells me that i have to be a little bit more responsible to the organisation that paid me an amount significantly less than a foreign construction worker..

the greatest irony is that i went jogging almost every morning during this period, and i gained weight.. perhaps using "gain" is a gross underestimation, but please let's just stick with "gain".. i think i ate a lot more during this period..

which is not untrue, knowing fully well that i bought 2 frozen pizzas from NTUC yesterday and microwaved them into delicious pastry and consumed them for dinner.. on top of opening (and finishing) a full bottle of red wine together with it.. and add that to loads of fruits.. it was a dinner for gluttons, yet i have dinner of that sort every night..

or perhaps it's the packing of stuff, that got my lungs filled with as much dust as smokers with tar - and it made me super bloated and hungry.. i finished a large carton of nutrisoy while packing this afternoon..

oh and yes, it's done.. my house's renovation is done!! on saturday.. the contractor came, my uncle came, and everybody else came.. it's like an uninvited mini-housewarming party for all.. except that the host is totally clueless about it all.. but nonetheless, i'm just glad that the house is done and we can start getting rid of dust..

i don't know why, but i'm suddenly missing my JC friends.. we actually met up not long ago for LAN, but i wouldn't really consider it an outing because we basically get so submerged in the computer that we didn't really enjoy each other's presence.. i want to go out with all of them soon!! and my "family" too.. weiyu, yanyi, quanyou.. i guess they're just too busy now, but haiya, i just miss them..

was very surprised udrena smsed me last night, but ya, let's meet up during your hols in late oct!! that's when i'm clearing my off and leave too, hopefully..

still not over the fact that my holiday's ending.. gRRR..
