i must have been crazy to go to the IT Show!!
i went there yesterday, knowing fully well that it's going to be flooded with people.. but i had only one objective, to buy my 8GB M2 card.. and i did.. surprisingly i managed to squeeze in with the crowd, get to the top floor, find the shop with a decent price, queue up for it, get my M2 card, and get out of that place.. i paid $47 for a 8GB M2 card.. it was selling at $79 at fuwell before the IT show, but i'm sure there are stalls at the IT Show where i could have gotten it at $45 or less.. but i'm so fed up with the people that i couldn't really be bothered to look around..
and it stinks really bad too, because there is just so many people, and the air conditioning isn't coping nearly well enough.. so it's stuffy and filled with sweat stenches.. plus the people are so close together, that occasionally a sweaty guy brushes past you and you get his sweaty arms wiping on yours.. very very gross.. then there's the brainless parents who still insist on pushing their baby pram inside and causing a huge jam..
oh and there's this person who didn't know about the existance of a lift and tried to push a trolley with 5 LCD TVs down the escalator.. and (expectedly) it fell and caused a pileup at the exit of the escalator.. there was nearly a stampede, if not for the people just pushing the LCD TVs on the floor to get it out of the path of everyone else..
oh and there wasn't a hint of recession when people shopped.. i'm not going to any IT Shows just for fun in the future.. unless i really need to buy really cheap (and targeted) stuff..
